As you are probably already aware, by 2025 all companies must have done their homework to comply with the law on employee time and attendance.

What changes by law must be taken into account?

Obviously, if you want to have all the complete information on how the reform will affect your company, you should go to your trusted labor consultant and consult reliable sources such as, for example, the BOE’s own website.

The fundamental objective of the law is that all companies will be required to keep track of the actual working hours of their entire workforce. Therefore:

  • The control of the working day must contain the exact start and end time of the working day, being recorded individually by the worker himself/herself. It should be recorded as accurately as possible, i.e., including the legally and contractually stipulated breaks.
  • The information must be unchangeable at a later date by any of the parties, once they have agreed that the content is true.
  • The time records must be available to workers, their representatives and the labor inspectorate at any time for at least four years.
  • It must be ensured that the time recording document is not manipulated a posteriori.
  • The company’s identification data must be included in the time report, as well as the employee’s data. Also the exact date to which each working day corresponds. It is important to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the employees’ personal data.

All these requirements demanded by the reform lead us to the need of having a software that allows us to register the working day in the simplest possible way, since neither excels nor analogical mechanisms can be used.

The TIMP Time Log

Our web software and app for reservations and business management includes a Time & Attendance module that allows the registration of professionals. Now, in addition, its features have been improved so that our customers do not have to invest more money in a complementary software that does only this function.

TIMP already allowed you to punch in and out in a customizable way with its Express appapp, by time periods of hours worked. And, in addition, you can do it comfortably with a single touch of a finger if you have already configured some scheduled hours. This is a clear example of the benefits of integrating in a single software the business agenda with all its services and customers with, at the same time, the management of professionals).

The new features of the Time Register that we have implemented to improve its usefulness

In view of these legislative changes that come into force in 2025, we have updated the features of our Time and Attendance module:

  • The Time Record is approved and signed by the manager (or professional with all permits).

  • A reminder is sent by e-mail and notification that approval is pending.

  • The professional is notified that their registration has been approved and that they have to sign it.

  • From the Dashboard, you can download a report for any past month.

The Time Record is guaranteed not to be manipulated after it has been signed by both parties, which is essential for downloading. It will remain accessible at any time.
