You have often found yourself in this situation: you want to offer a new service but you don’t know if it will generate enough interest among the users of your center.
Or maybe it’s a regular service in your business, but you want to change its time or day on the calendar and you don’t know if your customers will respond well to these changes .
In either case, if you jump into the void offering this service without further ado, you may not succeed, finding an empty room or with so few attendees that you will not have recovered the investment of time and resources necessary to to make room for it in your center’s calendar.

The result in these cases is always a loss of profitability, not to mention the confusion you can generate among your customers.

Therefore, it would be great to have a tool to check the interest that a new service arouses among your users before a session or to know if that change of schedule that interests you so much is to their liking, don’t you think?

At TIMP we are also convinced, and that is why we bring you Zero Capacity.

Zero capacity: is your new service interesting enough?

Zero Capacity is designed precisely so that you can check the number of people interested in a new service before confirming it.
This is very useful because if this service does not gather a minimum number of potential attendees to a session you do not have to carry it out, saving you all the planning and investment involved.
It works very simply.
When you want to offer a service to your customers -such as a class, session or activity- and you need to know if it will arouse interest in a specific time slot , do the following:
  1. In the “Services” section of your control panel, select the service you want to offer and go to “Settings”.
  2. Once there, mark the value “0” for the Maximum Capacity per session.
Now customers interested in that session should queue up and when the time comes you will be able to check how many are willing to attend. When they exceed the minimum number of places that is profitable for you, you can assess whether to confirm the session to finally deliver it.

And since they are interested in the service, you can take the opportunity to ask them a series of questions as a small market study.
This way you will be able to perfect it and you will have many more options to succeed if you finally offer it:

  • Would they be willing to attend all sessions?
  • What times would be your favorite?
  • Any suggestions on how to offer them an even more attractive service?

Zero Capacity in your booking application

In the app view you can indicate that the user will be shown the capacity or, on the contrary, that this data does not appear.
In either case the only option for the client in that session with zero capacity will be to queue.

In the following image you can see the two possibilities as they appear on your customer’s mobile device:

In Activity (A) the session with zero capacity is the one that only offers the queuing (in yellow) and we have preferred that the client can see the capacity of the session, which will always appear as complete.
In Activity (B) on the other hand, we have preferred that this capacity is not visible to the user.

As you can see, with Capacity Zero you will be able to know the possible interest in a new service or schedule before offering it definitively.
And as always, if you have any questions, please contact our support team by phone or from the chat of your TIMP panel.
