As soon as we arrive at the Ludus facilities, Raul welcomes us with a broad smile and a firm but serene handshake.

Built on the site of an old factory, Ludus Barcelona Arena still retains its metal beams of yesteryear, some of them reconverted into supports for exercises such as pull-ups.

The gym consists mainly of three rooms in which different training styles are taught -TacFit, Cross Training, boxing, hypopressive, strength training and mobility improvement-, and in our visit guided by Raúl we found several people who have come one more day to get in shape in these facilities.

Even a gladiator needs help in managing his business
Once we have seen the center, Raul accompanies us to the counter, where he begins the interview and tells us his story.
As a professional, our protagonist has studied the Superior Degree in Physical Sports Activities, since he felt the call of sport from a very young age, developing a clear vocation of service that led over the years to the founding of two sports centers, one of which is this one that concerns us today.
The main difficulty that Raúl encountered when he opened the business was the daily accounting management: on the one hand, the balance of income and expenses was difficult to keep up to date because he had to combine it with teaching classes; on the other hand, the collection of membership fees became a difficult task because everything was written down on paper or in an excel document, which hindered the process and, above all, took up a lot of time every day.
In addition, the capacity of the classes was often exceeded because, without an agile way of managing the agenda, it was very difficult to control how many people were going to attend each day’s class.
This also meant that, on many occasions, Raúl and his team had to spend a lot of time trying to find out what quota each user was entitled to according to their activity and level, as well as verifying how many sessions had been used and how many were still available.

Aware that these cumbersome management processes were hindering his daily work and his desire to offer the best service, it was clear to Raul that he needed to find a solution as soon as possible.
So he started using different systems in the hope that they would help him manage his business more efficiently, but they didn’t offer him what he was looking for.
