“Now I manage my center better and we have more free time.”

On this occasion we chatted with Pau Benedito, director of the personal training center Equilibrium PTS located in the town of Torrente, Valencia, in order to find out how TIMP has changed the way it is managed.

Upon arriving at the center’s facilities, we quickly realize that it is a gym that has taken care of every detail to offer its users the best possible experience: located in the landscaped area of Parc Central de Torrente, from the exterior facade to its interior walls are tinged with a vivid and welcoming red that invites those who enter through the door to give the maximum to get in shape, distributing its machinery between different rooms according to the specific goal to be achieved.

Pau welcomes us into his office right after using the TIMP panel to organize his day at the center.
As soon as he turns off the computer screen, we move to a training room bathed in sunlight coming through the large windows, where he tells us the story of Equilibrium and what led him to use TIMP in his business.

With a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Pau began working as a personal trainer in a gym until, realizing that once his maximum quota of students had been covered, he could not grow any further as a professional, he decided to set up his own training center.
Thus was born Equilibrium PTS, which offers personal training services, weight loss and rehabilitation in both personal and group classes in small groups.

Pau tells us that managing an agenda of activities as diverse as this center’s requires a significant daily management load.
At first, he used tools such as spreadsheets in the cloud to keep Equilibrium’s accounting up to date, as well as mobile instant messaging applications such as WhatsApp to handle customer booking requests.
But soon, both he and his professionals were overwhelmed by the fact that they were unable to combine the classes they taught with customer service, as their attempts to book a class were not always successful and they were left without being able to enjoy them.

Quickly, Pau and his team got down to work: they needed an application that would allow them to automate this reservation management in order to offer their clients the best service and be able to focus all their efforts on teaching classes at the highest level, without forgetting to manage the center’s accounting in the simplest and clearest way possible, something that is not always possible if you don’t have the right knowledge of private management.

Luckily, the paths of TIMP and Equilibrium crossed, and it was then that the answer to what Pau was looking for appeared clearly before his eyes: TIMP was the tool that would make possible a comprehensive management of the business, allowing him to manage his accounting without mistakes and automating the booking process so that customers could book their classes in the most convenient and intuitive way.

As far as accounting is concerned, spreadsheets are a thing of the past for Pau: by visualizing the reports and graphs generated by TIMP , he is able to know the evolution of his center in real time, making a detailed balance of income and expenses without needing a great knowledge of business management.

Thanks to TIMP, Equilibrium users can make their reservations from their cell phones at any time and wherever they are, and they can even pay for them from the application and see at all times the classes they have left to enjoy.

In this sense, one of the most interesting functionalities for Pau is the queue management, which allows its customers to put themselves on hold for those activities whose capacity is full: when there is an unexpected vacancy, TIMP alerts them so that they can sign up and enjoy that training.
As Equilibrium’s director says, the monthly subscription to TIMP practically pays for itself with queue slot management.

According to Pau, the volume of users that the center currently has would require one person on the team to be fully dedicated to managing calls and WhatsApp messages from customers, something that is no longer necessary with TIMP.
This allows the gym staff to focus their time on teaching a greater number of classes and improving the center on a daily basis, which translates into greater profitability and better service to their customers, which is why Pau is grateful for having placed his trust in TIMP.
