When running a business, the word ” budget” is one of those you hear almost every day when serving a customer.
I’m sure that in your center you often draw them up.
So, if you use TIMP for your daily management but you still write these documents on paper, we have good news for you: with our integrated management software you can prepare your budgets from the control panel in a matter of a minute.
This is of interest to you!

What is a budget?

A budget is nothing more than an estimate of the anticipated cost that a service or product will have for your client.
In most cases, a business prepares an estimate in order to inform the customer of the cost, although there are other benefits to doing this calculation beforehand.
We will explain them below and we will also see how you can prepare your budgets with TIMP.

What are the benefits of creating a pre-budget?

As we said, beyond communicating to the client the cost of a service, preparing a budget offers you other advantages, such as:

Facilitating sales

By detailing each of the aspects of the service and its economic breakdown, the budget clarifies things to the customer, so it is more likely that if your activity or product meets their expectations and its price is in line with the benefits they expect to get from it, they will end up buying it.

Convey professionalism

Delivering a clear, well-organized budget without gaps provides the client with a professional image of your activity.
Don’t hesitate, your budgets are also a great business card.

Ensure the collection of payment for the service provided

Although it is not the most common, sometimes there are customers who, after receiving a product or service, avoid payment for various reasons.
If they accepted a quote at the time and you can prove it (e.g. through an email or their signature on the document) you will have a much better chance of finally getting paid for the service rendered .

Create your budgets with TIMP

And then we come to the most interesting part: the one of elaborating your budgets from your control panel.
You will see that it is a super simple management.
As easy as making a sale, but without finalizing it.
Let’s take a look at it.

Simulates a sale

The first step to create your quotation in TIMP is to simulate the creation of a sale.
That is to say, to carry out the same management as if you were creating it but without closing it.
You will do the latter when the customer accepts the quotation.
To simulate your sale , access your customer’s file from the Customers section, and once there click on the button New salebutton, where you will select the quota or quotas you want to add to your budget.

When you have done this you will see a window with the summary of the sale:

As long as you do not click on the Process Sale button, it will only be a simulation (see the following link for more details on how to make a sale).
Now let’s move on to obtaining the budget.

Print your quote

Without moving from this sales window, at the end of the window click on View quote and a document will open with your perfectly prepared quotation:
Print it to give it to your customer.
It couldn’t be faster and easier!
Stop wasting time preparing your budgets by hand or with spreadsheets and switch to TIMP.
Don't fall behind!
