If you manage a clinic we have no doubt that you are already more than used to apply a different price to those clients who come to consult through an insurance company.
Now that you are using TIMP in your business and have digitized a large part of your business, you should know that you can also do the same for customers who have private insurance.
We explain everything below.
The TIMP Insurance module
As you already know, the most complicated thing about managing clients with insurance is that they are charged a different price than the one you have established for a certain service in your clinic.
In addition to that, the client does not pay for the consultation, but you must send the insurance companies the billing data of all the consultations with insurance that you have had, so that the companies can pay you for them.
This, which may seem like a mere administrative task, actually entails hours of paperwork, and at TIMP we have made it our mission to help you reduce this management time to a minimum.
For this purpose , we provide you with the insurance companies module, which will allow you to keep these specific collections up to date and manage their remittance to the insurance companies with complete simplicity.
First of all, this module is not activated from the panel unlike the rest, but you have to request it to our support team.
They will take care of getting it ready for you to start managing the clients assigned to an insurance company with the convenience offered by TIMP.
Automating your customers’ insurance premiums
The first thing to do once you have activated the insurance companies module is to configure the specific price of your premiumsfor each insurance company you work with or will work with.
To do this, from the control panel you only have to access the Rates section and select the one in which you want to modify the quota by entering the different insurances with which you usually work.
Once inside the quota, edit it and look for a section called Insurances that accept this voucher: there you can add a specific insurance and the price you will charge in your clinic.
Thus, when you serve a client assigned to an insurance company, you will only have to select their insurance company and TIMP will automatically assign them the price you stipulated for them .
Linking an insurance policy to a client
Now let’s move on to a practical case: a client with an insurance company arrives at your clinic.
Well, with this module activated, the management process is really simple:
Access your profile from the control panel and go to the Profile section.There you will see a subsection called Health Insurance.
Easy, isn’t it?
Select the insurance policy your client has taken out and then enter the policy number and associated data.
From that moment on, every sale you make to that client, or that he pays from the application through the in-app payment, will appear in your accounting section with the price associated with his specific insurance.
Easily manage the collection of insurance payments
You will agree with us that this is wonderful: you no longer have to go around consulting the specific prices of each insurance policy one by one when dealing with a client with an insurance company.
What if we told you that you no longer have to collect one by one the sales of a specific insurance company at the end of the month in order to get paid for your services?
Well, that’s it!
Because with TIMP’s insurance companies module at the end of the month you only have to filter these sales to be able to collect them:
Go to the Accounting section, and in the Sales section click on Filter (or what is the same, on the funnel icon).
In the Insurer section you select the company whose sales you want to filter at that moment and set the specific month in the start and end date fields.
You can now export the resulting list and send it to the insurance company in question for payment of the total amount.
