“We are very ‘in love’ with TIMP”.
Cal Fregues is a physiotherapy center out of the ordinary, and needed a software to match.
In our adventure to know the most inspiring stories behind the centers that use TIMP, we have traveled to Vilafranca del Penedès, in the province of Barcelona, to meet the people at the helm of Cal Fregues, an unconventional physiotherapy clinic.
There we were welcomed with great joy by Andrea and Joan, a married couple formed by a publicist and a physiotherapist who three years ago decided to set up a business that would bring a discipline such as physiotherapy closer to the people.

Cal Fregues, physiotherapy for all
Even before crossing the door, we are surprised by the close image that Cal Fregues offers to those who approach its facilities: from the other side of the window, a skeleton dressed in a blue jumpsuit observes us with his arms raised, in a pose that looks like an effusive greeting.
Then, upon entering the premises, a multitude of small details make us feel at home: from the lighting in warm tones to a multitude of decorative elements related to the field of health but with a marked pop tone make this a very welcoming place.

After showing us the different rooms of Cal Fregues, we chatted animatedly with Andrea and Joan, who began by telling us what their goal is with the clinic and how they decided to focus the business to achieve it.
As Andrea states, Cal Fregues is a health center whose main purpose is to democratize physiotherapy, that is, to bring it closer to the people by breaking the conceptual barrier that sometimes hinders communication between professional and patient.
She, who knows her way around advertising, says that they achieved it thanks to a colloquial and very fresh name: Cal Fregues, which in Catalan would come to mean “Casa del Friegas” in reference to the physiotherapy professional and the therapeutic massage techniques he uses; the use of the decorative elements we mentioned before, such as toys, gadgets or a skeleton-shaped mannequin in a funny pose; the delivery to their patients of good postural habits manuals in a language accessible to everyone, etc.
As Joan points out, physiotherapists usually use a very technical language that in many cases makes it difficult for the patient to understand his or her personal case, and at Cal Fregues they set out to eliminate this “language” barrier so that the techniques they use can be understood by anyone who needs them.
They would later realize that one more ingredient was still missing in that recipe for accessible physical therapy, and its name starts with T…. can you guess what that element is?

With business management we have come up against
Joan and Andrea explain that, although they were very clear from the beginning what they wanted to do in Cal Fregues, when they started to do it, they realized something they had not expected: managing a physiotherapy center is more complex than it seems.
They quickly realized that they needed programs to manage the booking of appointments in an agile and organized way, and started using free systems such as Calendar, soon realizing that it was not a solution: the booking of a physiotherapy session includes a series of parameters that the system must take into account to properly manage the resources of the center and the professional who will be in charge of carrying it out.
Unfortunately, the solutions they employed did not fit the reality of the center.
And that’s when TIMP came their way: after talking to us and demonstrating the program, they found that our integrated management and booking software was just what Cal Fregues needed.
TIMP allows them to reduce the number of calls from customers requesting appointments, since the patient himself manages his reservations from the app without having to contact the center.
Andrea was in charge of making the leap from her old programs to TIMP, a process that Joan says his wife thoroughly enjoyed. Andrea can’t deny it: she confesses that she had a great time and found it very easy.
Suddenly she had all the business data in front of her in real time, with information on bookings, accounting, customer notifications…. Wonderful!

In fact, Andrea knows the program so well that when a Cal Fregues professional needs training on a specific section of the control panel, she can provide it in a matter of minutes.

Joan tells us that he and Andrea are literally “in love” with the program, and that nowadays they could not live without the software: he appreciates that TIMP has allowed them to have more free time for the two of them, and she enjoys having all the control of Cal Fregues on her cell phone, wherever she is.
In closing, Andrea stresses that TIMP is now one of Cal Fregues’ greatest assets, as it helps make the accessibility they promise to their clients a reality, giving them the autonomy they need to manage their own bookings at the center and making it easier for the session schedule to run smoothly at the clinic.
After such a lively and friendly chat with Andrea and Joan , we leave Cal Fregues very happy to see first hand that TIMP is an important part of their lives, contributing with our grain of sand so that more and more people can benefit from a restorative physio session in a clinic as special as this one.
