At TIMP<\/a> we like to know how our customers use the tools at their disposal in the control panel, as well as their opinion about them.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
On this occasion we wanted to know first-hand what a manager thinks about the Rankings module<\/strong>, a utility designed to generate community among the center’s clients<\/strong> and encourage them to compete in a healthy way<\/strong>.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
For this we asked Sergio William Tarantino<\/strong>, manager of Estudio Progreso<\/a>, a personal training center in Mallorca that makes the most of the TIMP Rankings<\/strong>.<\/div>\n

This is what Sergio told us.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Sergio, how long have you been using the ‘Rankings’ module?<\/h3>\n
<\/div>\n
We first used the Rankings module in January 2019.
\nSince then we have used it 11 times with month-long challenges<\/strong>, until this March 2020. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We have been doing a different challenge every month since November 2014 and since 2019 we have managed them with the Rankings. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

How do you use it?
\nDo customers register their brands?
\nWhat kind of results do they report? <\/h3>\n
<\/div>\n
As I mentioned, we have always used “simple” challenges of one month’s duration<\/strong>.
\nWe combine these simple challenges with different tests in which we alternate one month of cardio and one month of strength. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
During the cardio months, the challenge can be to do 200 jumping jacks in the shortest time possible or to add up all the kilometers run. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In the strength months, the challenge can be to do as many push-ups and pull-ups in a row as you can. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\nAll the clients write down their marks<\/strong>, but some are more animated when we are the ones who, through the computer, write down their results.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

By using Rankings, are you motivating your clients to improve their brands?
\nWhat other advantages does it have for you? <\/h3>\n
<\/div>\n
I have a Personal Training studio with an average of 70 active clients throughout the year. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The truth is that those who make an effort in their weekly training are also the ones who are most motivated and use the Rankings.<\/strong> <\/p>\n
Other users may be motivated at some point, but if the challenge does not involve an effort on their part.<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
So that you understand me, the person who is a cyclist and has to add up kilometers by bike does it with pleasure that month and participates in the Rankings, but this same person the month he\/she has to do push-ups, for example, does not participate at all. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
As for the advantages, I would say that it gives me the opportunity to provide this extra service to my clients.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Do you think it fosters a sense of community among your customers?<\/h3>\n
<\/div>\n
Among those people who use it, yes. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Being a personal training center, people do not always coincide in the center, but when they do coincide, they have heard phrases of the type<\/strong>: <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“You’re that Toni who beat me by 2 seconds in the jump rope.”<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Do those who appear in the TOP of the Ranking receive any recognition?
\nDo you reward the winners? <\/h3>\n
<\/div>\n
There is<\/strong> always at least one or several winners depending on the challenge<\/strong>. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The prizes for the winners can be: T-shirts or sweatshirts of the center<\/strong>, sports supplements of your choice<\/strong> (shakes, bars…) and in some cases invitations to dinners that we organize. <\/div>\n
