Yoga Day: what does it mean for yogis?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"trix-content\">\n<div>In 2014 the United Nations Organization established June 21 as <strong>International Yoga Day<\/strong>, due to the benefits of its practice for physical and mental well-being.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>TIMP is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timp.pro\/bienestar\">software for yoga centers<\/a> and other disciplines, and therefore, on the occasion of this celebration, we wanted to know how yoga professionals live this discipline.<br \/>\nThis time we have chatted with <strong>Yoga House, a very central studio in Alicante that gives us his own vision<\/strong>. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In a moment you will discover it, but in order to better understand what we have been told, we will first briefly review what this ancient practice consists of.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h2>What is yoga?<\/h2>\n<div>From a classical and general perspective, <strong>yoga is a philosophical doctrine originating in India<\/strong> that seeks to achieve spiritual perfection.<br \/>\nIt uses practices such as meditation to reach a state of full consciousness. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Within this philosophy of life, we find the practice that most of us have heard of: <strong>yoga as a set of techniques to achieve greater control and well-being <\/strong>both physically and psychologically.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>Yoga postures<\/h3>\n<div>The <strong>asanas or yoga postures<\/strong> are the body positions that are performed during its practice.<br \/>\nThey have the function of developing harmony between body and mind, and breathing is a fundamental element during their execution. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>There is no consensus about the total number of asanas that exist, but it seems to be very large, finding manuals that cite 66 and others that mention up to 200, although many more agree that <strong>about 84 asanas are performed<\/strong> in the practice of an experienced yogi.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>Types of yoga<\/h3>\n<div>There is <strong>a great variety of<\/strong> <strong>yoga styles<\/strong>, partly because the different yogic traditions have each focused on a particular type, developing and perfecting their practice.<br \/>\nHowever, they all share the same bases and a clear objective: to <strong>achieve greater self-control of body and mind<\/strong>. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Among the best known are for example <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timp.pro\/blog\/22-bienestar\/490-vinyasa-yoga-union-perfecta-respiracion-movimiento\">Vinyasa yoga<\/a>, which <strong>pays special attention to breath control<\/strong>, something common to any form of yoga but here is taken to the maximum expression.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We also find another classic variant: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timp.pro\/blog\/22-bienestar\/513-kundalini-yoga-despertamos-energia-cuerpo\">Kundalini yoga<\/a>, <strong>focused on consciousness and body energy<\/strong>, the latter symbolically represented as a snake that must ascend from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>And if we look at <strong>more modern practices that cause a furor<\/strong> we have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timp.pro\/blog\/22-bienestar\/89-que-es-y-por-que-practicar-el-yoga-alien\">alien yoga<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timp.pro\/blog\/22-bienestar\/346-hot-yoga-aconsejable-verano\">hot yoga<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timp.pro\/blog\/22-bienestar\/439-yoga-prenatal-prepara-cuerpo-mente-parto\">prenatal yoga<\/a>, the latter for its usefulness in a specific stage of life such as pregnancy, and the former for its novel and challenging way of being practiced (alien yoga through impossible movements of the abdomen and hot yoga in a room at high temperatures).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>  Whatever the style of yoga chosen, whoever exercises it consistently can enjoy the many benefits attributed to it.<br \/>\nAnd we will talk about them below.   <\/p>\n<figure class=\"attachment attachment--preview attachment--jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>Benefits of yoga<\/h3>\n<div>Those who practice it assure that <strong>the benefits of yoga are numerous<\/strong>: it increases body flexibility, tones and strengthens muscles and joints, helps to minimize certain postural pains, increases calorie burning, improves attention and concentration&#8230;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>If we were to list them all here we would have to split this article in two, so for now it will suffice to tell you that since it is <strong>such a complete physical and mental practice<\/strong>, it mobilizes and trains a whole series of resources that will allow you to lead a more active life in harmony with the environment around you.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>Yoga for beginners<\/h3>\n<div>Anyone can practice it, so <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timp.pro\/blog\/22-bienestar\/572-yoga-principiantes-convertirte-yogui\">yoga for beginners<\/a> is a reality: do not be intimidated by the mastery of those who have been practicing it for years. <strong>Every guru has started from scratch at some point<\/strong>, and precisely practicing yoga?<\/h3>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Connect with your essence <strong>by dedicating some time to yourself, listening to yourself, observing yourself<\/strong> and experiencing the changes, while achieving a transformation in the physical and mental planes, which will help you understand and develop your attitude following the 8 branches of yoga.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Yoga is not just practicing postures (asanas), it <strong>is a discipline and a philosophy of life<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThrough yoga we become present and we heal. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The practice of yoga activates our energy and strengthens body and mind, providing the basis for a long life, always synchronizing breathing with movement (breathing is the basis of our life).<br \/>\nMainly we learn to breathe, so that less demands are placed on the body to gradually create space, releasing tension and relaxing the heart. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>It strengthens all the muscles of the body<\/strong>, <strong>improves posture, circulation, elasticity, strength and flexibility<\/strong>, and stimulates the internal organs.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>  The concentration and internalization that are achieved in the practice of Hatha yoga makes the mind and brain work, achieving greater concentration, calm and well-being, which will be applicable to your life. <\/h3>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Deepening in the practice and philosophy of yoga, we never had doubts, from the beginning we felt its healing power and we were captivated by the light it brings to our lives.<br \/>\nWe only found benefits, so much so that we <strong>decided to dedicate our lives to it <\/strong>and make a change in our professions, with the objective of <strong>sharing it and helping to improve the lives of others<\/strong>. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>  What we love most about yoga is that it is for everyone, it is not necessary to be agile, to be able to touch your feet or to be in shape.<br \/>\nMany postures do not come out, some we will reach with practice and others perhaps never&#8230; Yoga is more than that. <strong>Yoga is a personal transformation that only requires love and patience<\/strong>, and the benefits are unsuspected and incredible.   <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>That yoga has its own UN-approved international day is no small feat.<\/h3>\n<h3>What values do you think it brings to society and why is it a cause for celebration around the world?<\/h3>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>That yoga has its international day approved by the UN is wonderful. <strong>The values that its philosophy represents are worthy of celebration all over the world<\/strong>.<br \/>\nYoga is understanding and developing an attitude following a philosophy of healthy living, a kind behavior towards others and yourself. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>  Yoga is not just practicing postures, it is only a small part of it.<br \/>\nYoga is a discipline and a philosophy of life.<br \/>\nThrough yoga we become present and we heal.<br \/>\nWe unite the internal with the external, we <strong>come to the understanding that everything is united<\/strong> and that individual transformation is universal transformation.<br \/>\nThat we can be the change we want to see in the world. <strong>Love is the only force that multiplies if you share it<\/strong>.      <\/p>\n<figure class=\"attachment attachment--preview attachment--jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>Yoga has a strong spiritual component.<br \/>\nDo you think that anyone can enjoy it regardless of their beliefs and philosophy of life? <\/h3>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We always say that <strong>there is a style of yoga for each person<\/strong>, even for each moment.<br \/>\nLife is change and we do not always have the same needs when it comes to practice, yoga is versatile and there are so many styles and ways to practice it that adapts to the needs of each person and moment. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The fact that yoga has a spiritual component does not exclude anyone because of their beliefs or philosophy of life.<br \/>\nNormally you practice by connecting with an energy that does not necessarily have to be a deity, it can be your inner self, your intuition, your intentions; or you simply practice, without the need to connect with anything, just by becoming aware of your body and your breath and feeling alive. <strong>If you can breathe, you can do yoga<\/strong>. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>Finally, why did you choose TIMP to manage your yoga center and student bookings?<\/h3>\n<h3>What do you like most about using our system?<\/h3>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>  We started working the old way and we were new.<br \/>\nIn addition to the classes, we started to manage all the social networks, the management of reservations by WhatsApp, answer emails, create events&#8230; The Shala began to grow and we could not enjoy because we <strong>could not with so many things and we thought of an app that would manage that part for us<\/strong> to be able to devote ourselves entirely to the part of the classes and to take care of the Shala.<br \/>\nWe started with another app that helped us a lot in its day but it was more focused on gyms and did not quite meet some points, so we <strong>came up with <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timp.pro\"><strong>TIMP<\/strong><\/a> appeared <strong> in our search and it was a great success<\/strong>.<br \/>\nNow we are calm because <strong>the part of the reservations dissemination of an important message&#8230; All this while also avoiding the interaction with the user in certain cases: <strong>it is the app that takes care of everything and that also has a reassuring component.<\/strong>     <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>  Besides that <strong>they have trainings and teach you everything you need step by step<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIt is comfortable as well as very intuitive, which helps a lot to feel it easy from day one.<br \/>\nAesthetically it is very elegant, and finally, <strong>the users are very happy and that is the most important
