{"id":16749,"date":"2020-08-24T09:52:51","date_gmt":"2020-08-24T07:52:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timp.pro\/2020\/08\/24\/we-talk-about-healthy-living-with-nuria-garrido\/"},"modified":"2020-08-24T09:52:51","modified_gmt":"2020-08-24T07:52:51","slug":"we-talk-about-healthy-living-with-nuria-garrido","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timp.pro\/en\/we-talk-about-healthy-living-with-nuria-garrido\/","title":{"rendered":"We talk about healthy living with Nuria Garrido!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"trix-content\">\n<div>The #TIMP blog starts a new section to give voice to those fitness and wellness professionals who have become relevant for their particular way of transmitting what they do and what they are passionate about.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>To start this new season we are fortunate to have <strong>Nuria Garrido<\/strong>.<br \/>\nNuria, better known on social media as @nuriagaro, is an advocate of healthy living and a great <em>running<\/em> enthusiast.<br \/>\nShe defines herself as &#8220;a normal person, with her work and family, who tries to share her reality, her way of life&#8221;.    <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Our guest today is characterized by being <strong>a person who always tries to see the positive side of life<\/strong> and takes social networks as a tool to have energy on a daily basis.  <\/p>\n<p>Do you want to know more about her?<br \/>\nFind out everything she told us while we have a <strong>#cafeconespumita<\/strong>! <\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<figure class=\"attachment attachment--preview attachment--jpg\">\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Let&#8217;s get started!<br \/>\nWhat is a day in the life of Nuria Garrido like?   <\/h3>\n<div>Now I am in a special moment, since less than a month ago I had surgery for a herniated disc that has me now on leave, but a normal day of Nuria begins at 06:00 in the morning, starts the day with a #cafeconespumita, a little exercise (strength) to activate me and usual working day.<br \/>\nIn the afternoons running training 3 or 4 times a week and the rest of the time I try to combine it with my second job in social networks without ever leaving aside family and friends. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>How and when did you become aware that you had to lead a healthy lifestyle?<\/h3>\n<div>The healthy lifestyle came to me a little bit by force, when I started to feel very bad stomach pain in college.<br \/>\nAt first I thought it was stress but it was actually that I had <em>Helicobacter<\/em> <em>Piroly<\/em>.<br \/>\nThen I started to take more care of my diet since I had chronic gastritis due to the treatments.<br \/>\nSo I started to see that by eating healthier, without obsessions, I felt more energy, more mental clarity and in general, I felt much better!   <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>What is your favorite dish or food?  <\/h3>\n<div>My father&#8217;s peppers stuffed with rice.<br \/>\nMy whole family is from Alicante and I think rice is in my DNA!<br \/>\nAlthough in general, I really enjoy food and I don&#8217;t say no to a good pasta dish, a stew or a cocido madrile\u00f1o.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"attachment attachment--preview attachment--png\">\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>Do you plan your meals? How do you design the different menus?  <\/h3>\n<div>I plan them but I also leave room for improvisation.<br \/>\nEvery day there is fruit and vegetables at every meal, eggs almost every day, fish at least one day a week, and legumes two or three times.<br \/>\nWe also try to cook at the weekend to have food ready for the whole week since we have less time during the week.<br \/>\nAlso, with good planning you save a lot on the shopping list and less food is wasted, which is very important.   <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>What do you think are the difficulties of getting used to eating healthy?<br \/>\nCan you give us some advice? <\/h3>\n<div>I think the difficulty is the belief that eating healthy is boring and that it is also too elaborate&#8230;when the opposite is true!<br \/>\nSome advice?<br \/>\nIf you&#8217;re just starting out, don&#8217;t try to change everything all at once because it usually fails.<br \/>\nTry to start by having lighter and earlier dinners so that you can digest before going to sleep, for example.<br \/>\nOnce you get into the habit, set small, simple goals -substitute breakfast pastries for a <em>porridge<\/em> or homemade pancakes, for example- and little by little, seeing how good you feel, it will become part of you.    <\/div>\n<h3> <\/h3>\n<h3>Why did you start <em>running<\/em>?<br \/>\nIs it out of necessity? <\/h3>\n<div><em>Running<\/em> came to me as an escape route.<br \/>\nI was going through a complicated personal situation and <em>running<\/em> helped me to focus, to not think beyond the here and now.<br \/>\nI think it was one of the best decisions I made and it has helped me to know my limits and to overcome many that I had imposed on myself.  <\/div>\n<div>\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"attachment attachment--preview attachment--jpg\">\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h3>What goals would you like to achieve in the future?  <\/h3>\n<div>Before the confinement I was preparing for my first triathlon and I have been left with a thorn in my side.<br \/>\nAs soon as I recover I want to take it up again. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>What content do you like to find on social networks?  <\/h3>\n<div>Above all, I like to find realities.<br \/>\nPerfect bodies, perfect lives&#8230;not everything is real and you have to know how to differentiate it.<br \/>\nWe have to teach that not everything is always good.<br \/>\nYou have to understand that there are bad days and that, in spite of those days, we keep going forward looking for our dreams and goals.   <\/div>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>What do you think you can bring to the people who follow you?  <\/h3>\n<div>Well, precisely that, realities: that I am a person who likes to eat healthy and play sports, but I also like to enjoy some scrambled eggs with ham and a beer with friends because it feeds the soul.<br \/>\nLife is a constant balance that must be maintained and that&#8217;s what I want to convey: that I&#8217;m always looking for that balance and that there are days when you find it and others when you don&#8217;t, but that&#8217;s okay.<br \/>\nYou have to keep trying.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"attachment attachment--preview attachment--jpg\">\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Anything else you would like to say before we say goodbye?<\/h3>\n<div>Yes, always look for what makes YOU happy.<br \/>\nForget about fashions, references or &#8220;it should be this way&#8221;.<br \/>\nLet yourself be.    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The #TIMP blog launches a new section to meet influential fitness and wellness professionals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":233048127,"featured_media":7875,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[760843510],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-16749","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-timp-en"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>We talk about healthy living with Nuria Garrido!
